91% of Americans find the idea of an “unplugged” vacation appealing,
This fact is not surprising, considering most Americans
rank “spending quality time together”
as the main benefit of travelling together as a family.
Yet, life and work often get in the way.
61% push themselves to work while on vacation.
27% feel pressured to post photos to social media–to indicate that they are having a fun time.
These factors may be contributing the increasing number of families
claiming that they need extra time off to “recover” from their vacations.
In 2018,
41% percent of individuals claimed they needed “recovery time” compared to only
29% during the previous year.
