21% of Americans can’t name one of their great-grandparents.

33% can’t name all four of their grandparents.

34% are unable to trace their lineage beyond their grandparents.

21% can’t name where any of their grandparents were born.

14% are not sure what their grandparents did for employment.

Yet,

80% say that they care about their heritage.

and

84% say heritage is an important thing to know about.
