83% of Millennials consider themselves in good or excellent health.
However, this statistic can be misleading
in terms of understanding the overall health
of people born between born in the early 80’s to the mid 90’s–
54% of Millennials have reported being diagnosed with at least one chronic illness.
Millennials, particularly older ones, have chronic health
issues at a much higher rate than earlier generations.
In fact, for eight of 10 chronic health conditions,
Millennials have double-digit increases in prevalence
compared to what Gen Xers experienced at the same age.
Some of these chronic conditions include
Type-II Diabetes, High Cholesterol, Major Depression, Hypertension, and Hyperactivity.
In fact the study said that that, generally,
the point of major health decline for this group is at age 27.
