With the novel coronavirus
and its effects
rapidly spreading,
Americans are becoming more and more concerned
about the impact it might have
on themselves, their households, their families
and on the nation.

33% claim that they
or someone in their household
has had a pay cut,
a reduction of hours,
or lost their job
because of the virus.

Approximately
two-thirds of Americans
say the virus is a “significant crisis”.
66% say that it is a major health threat to the US.
88% say it’s a major threat to the US economy
and these numbers are on the rise.

Many Americans feel action should be taken.
71% agree that all businesses other than
grocery stores and pharmacies should close.
85% agree that restaurants should be
take out only.
70% feel that states should postpone
primary elections.

On a positive note,
79% say that public health officials
are doing a good job in response to the virus, and…
63% say that ordinary people in their community
are also doing a good job.
